Last year you hosted 65 artists. In 2014 you started with three. There was one audience member at the first performance and now there are many. But I understand it was never about the numbers. For you specificity has always been the most important thing. Guiding artists to be as daring, consequent, and experimental as possible has been your mission over the past ten years - not in the vacuum of a silent countryside studio but interjected into the boisterous mess that is Knislinge, that is the field of dance, that is art - in a repurposed defunct factory that has been reborn as a vital part of a tiny community and the sprawling cultural sector simultaneously.
How should we celebrate you? On your birthday we honor the artists and community that have shaped you.
